Elm & Willow House

2010

Elm & Willow house is an extension to an existing Edwardian home. The new build counterpoints the introverted Edwardian house by using transparency and openness. The architecture’s intention is to blur the inside and outside spaces. The home is centered around a courtyard, with an established tree anchoring the plan to its context.

The project has been featured over 14 times by international press and has been a popular feature on over 100 online publications. The Elm & Willow house also won the acclaimed ‘Australian Institute of Architects, Victorian Chapter Residential Award’ in 2009.
